Literature Text

Savage lunging,
lust and hunger for murder,
slack jaws, wide
eyes joyful.

His chase arcs
through clean summer air,
shaped with power and purpose.

He meets it
the way life meets love,
quickly, consciously, brutally!
Eagerly.

His teeth and tongue and soul
Embrace flesh and fire and air.

He smells of lust and sweat,
and uses brief grunts of air through the nose
to convey his pleasure at being touched.
He rests with his hips spread apart on the floor
in a posture of perfect, exhausted sensuality.

In this deep satisfaction,
the rapid fire appeased,
the thirst quenched,
his hair
is as soft
as a prayer.
Um...tada...?
Yeah, so...attempt number two at a decent poem, hopefully I'm getting better >,> Please write constructive criticism!

BTW, can anyone guess the REAL content of this poem?
No? Yes? Take a guess...

Okay, this is actually about my sister's dog Poncho, a little black terrier with a true zest for life. In particular, he loves to jump at the hose when we water our shrubbage, lunging for it with his pointy little teeth and really wide grin. And when we're done watering, he'll come inside, rub himself against anything and everything to dry off, and then lie down on the floor with his little back legs splayed flat.

Yep, that dog has a true lust for life. ^,^
